She writes both fiction and non-fiction, from picture books for young readers to graphic novels for teens. Her books have been praised for their heartwarming stories, diverse characters, and feel-good takeaways. In addition to writing, Abhi is also a multi-disciplinary storyteller. She combines music, movement, drama and puppetry to bring alive the worlds of her books. She is a strong advocate for literacy through literature, and provides free support and resources via her initiative, Nool Monsters. Abhi\u2019s life before writing revolved around design and creative management, tools that continue to aid her approach to visual storytelling.
